Cookies and device storage

Taskr currently uses only storage required to provide and secure the service.

Version 2026-08-18 · Last updated 18 August 2026

Authentication cookie

After sign-in, Taskr sets a host-only, secure, HTTP-only session cookie named __Host-taskr_session. It is required to authenticate your requests, uses SameSite Strict protection and expires after seven days or sooner when revoked.

Offline evidence drafts

When an authenticated user captures proof before it can be uploaded, Taskr uses browser IndexedDB to keep that user-requested draft on the device. Drafts are scoped to the membership, organisation and task, bounded by size and count, expire after seven days and are removed after verified upload. Clearing site data removes pending drafts.

No advertising or analytics cookie

Taskr does not currently place advertising, cross-site tracking or product-analytics cookies. Product lifecycle measurements are created from trusted server actions without a browser identifier. Because only service-requested security and operational storage is used, Taskr does not show a non-essential-cookie consent banner.

Changes

If non-essential browser storage is introduced, Taskr will explain each purpose and request an appropriate choice before using it. Questions can be submitted through Taskr Support.
